My go to morning Bircher Muesli

This is my everyday breakfast, almost no matter where I am I try and make the same. I love it as much, maybe even more than the first day.

Ingredients


Step 1

1/2 cup Oats

Handful or two of raisins

1 tsp Ground Flaxseed

1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon

Little pinch of sea salt

1/4 of a grated apple


Step 2

3/4 cup plant milk or regular milk

1 or 2 tbsp plant yogurt or greek yoghurt

Extra milk for loosening


Toppings

Seasonal fruit

Crushed nuts

Mixed seeds

Desiccated coconut

Honey

Peanut Butter (A MUST!)



Method

  • Ideally this should be prepared the night before.

  • Combined all of the step 1 ingredients in a bowl - this should be the bowl you intend to eat from.

  • Pour the milk over the oat mixture, dollop on the yoghurt and then give it a good mix until it is completely combined.

  • Place the bowl in the fridge overnight.

  • In the morning when you are ready to eat, add a splash of milk to loosen the oats up to your preference.

  • Add your toppings of preference (and a compulsory dollop of peanut butter).

  • Enjoy!
