Black Forest Chocolate Milkshake Porridge

I am obsessed with porridge at the moment, but this version is particularly delightful.

Gluten free, no added sugar, lactose free and with a little added punch from Barebells Chocolate Milkshake.

 
 

Ingredients


Step 1

1/2 cup Oats

1 tsp ground flaxseed (optional)

2 tsp Cacao (or cocoa powder)

1/4 tsp Sea Salt

1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Handful of raisins or dried cranberries


Step 2

3/4 cup Barebells Chocolate Milkshake

1/4 cup grated apple

1 tbsp berry jam or compote

Step 3

3/4 cup either more Barebells Chocolate Milkshake or other milk/plant milk


Suggested toppings

Nut butter

Jam

Berries

Dark Chocolate

Honey or Maple Syrup

Chopped up Barebells Bar


Method

  1. Mix all of the step 1 ingredients in a bowl.

  2. Add your grated apple and mix into the oats.

  3. Followed by your Barebells Chocolate milkshake and berry jam/compote. Mix together until combined.

  4. Leave in the fridge overnight or you can put it straight into a small/medium pan.

  5. Cook on a low heat, gradually adding in the remaining step 3 liquid and stirring throughout until the oats have become creamy and soft and the porridge has reached your desired consistency.

  6. Pour into your bowl, add your toppings and enjoy.
